EZD6 uses a straightforward core system where players roll a six-sided die (D6) to meet or beat a target number set by the Rabble Rouser (GM), ranging from 2 to 6. Successes and failures are enhanced by Boons and Banes, which allow rolling extra dice to take the highest (Boons) or lowest (Banes). This mechanic can stack for greater effect. Combat is quick and deadly, with exploding dice mechanics for critical hits. Magic operates with an open-ended system, allowing players to describe their desired effect based on their chosen magical theme, while the GM sets the difficulty.
